RAMAKRISHNA TAPOVAN ASHRAM, SADHUPUL

A warm welcome at 4000 ft above sea level!

The day at Tapovan Ashram in Sadhupul starts with Hymns from Holy Scriptures and ends with evening vespers, “O Breaker of Bonds, we adore Thee” Dedicated to Shri Ramakrishna. Fulfilling the moto of Swami Vivekananda, “For the liberation of self and service to others”, different service projects have been taken up such as scholarships to the poor students, medical relief to the needy and financial assistance to the poor and other timely help like distribution of clothes, etc.

Just a few minutes' walk down from this Ashram, stands a 400 years old Maa Durga Temple, little below River Ashwini in all his glory with devotion, touching and washing the holy feet of mother moves ahead. Lavish green Pine (Cheer) trees add more beauty to the place, and when the cool wind blows, the leaves of the trees, makes a melodious sound like the mother nature herself performing Aarti of infinite. By the divine will, some devotees of Thakur Ramakrishna thought of having a place where the seekers of God can surrender themselves to the Lord and spend a few moments, days or life in a spiritual atmosphere.
